Lorenzo Sanz Dies After Contracting Coronavirus

Sanz, 76, was president at the Bernabeu from 1995-2000, a period wherein Real Madrid won the Champions League twice.



"My dad has simply passed on," composed Sanz's child Lorenzo Sanz Duran on Twitter.

"He didn't merit this end right now. Truly outstanding, generally valiant and persevering individuals I have found in my life. His family and Real Madrid were his obsession."

Sanz marked players, for example, Roberto Carlos, Clarence Seedorf and Davor Suker during his time accountable for the 33-time Spanish victors.

He lost the 2000 presidential political race to Florentino Perez, which started Real's enormous spending 'Galatico' period.
