Housewife Stabs Husband To Death In Ekiti

Lady supposedly slaughters spouse in Ekiti, welcomes neighbors to eat his meat

A 30-year-old housewife, Mrs Janet Jegede has been captured by the Ekiti Police Command for supposedly cutting her significant other, Jegede, to death at their home on Alafiatayo, zone 1, Bamgboye region of Ado Ekiti, the state capital. 

The Nation accumulated that the spouse who was said to be an expert attendant cut her significant other in the chest, after the couple, had a contradiction at their home on Sunday over an obscure issue. 

A source who need secrecy said she discovered that the lady supposedly wounded her better half in the chest with a blade. 

" We were in chapel last Sunday when someone called that the elderly person has been cut to death by his better half. We have never known about any issue between them. 

"The lady has two children for the man, the more seasoned one is around nine years of age however she should be a second spouse to the man that ought to be more than sixty years of age, who has a restorative specialist as a child". 

Another source near the territory said the lady more likely than not been experiencing a mental issue.

A police source at Ologede Police station said mental assessment has been done on the suspect and she had since been moved to the State base camp of the police. 

When reached, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Caleb Ikechukwu who affirmed the episode, said examination is progressing to disentangle conditions encompassing the issue. 

The police representative stated, " We are directly addressing not many individuals at the manslaughter branch of the order. 

"Post-mortem examination will be completed after examination."
